Newport Performing Arts Center

 The Newport Performing Arts Center (PAC) is the premiere performance venue on the Oregon coast. It is home to a group of resident companies affectionately called the PACRATs. This Performing Arts Center Resident Artist Team consists of community music, theatre, and dance producers who keep the facility busy year-round. It also serves touring artists, non-profits, for profits, and individuals as space permits.The PAC has two performances spaces, the Alice Silverman Theatre and the Studio Theatre. The Silverman is a 328-seat, proscenium, stage theatre with a full range of technical capabilities. The Studio is a black box space which can be arranged to seat up to 80.

 The Newport Visual Arts Center, located at the historic Nye Beach Turnaround, is a facility built by the City of Newport as a public art exhibition space and for art education programs and maintained by the Oregon Coast Council for the Arts. Opening in 1983, the Newport Visual Arts Center (or "VAC") is the largest facility on the Oregon Coast built specifically for the exhibition of visual art. The VAC includes three traditional gallery spaces, as well as the newer "media room" and "Classroom Gallery."The VAC also includes two classrooms/event spaces that are rented by a wide variety of community organizations and private parties. VAC rental and space information can be downloaded from this page (lower right). The VAC's preferred rental contact hours are Thursday-Sunday, 3pm to 6pm. Yaquina Art Association

 

The Yaquina Art Gallery and Gift Shop is located in the historic Nye Beach District of Newport, Oregon. The gallery was established for the purpose of exhibiting and selling the work of the Yaquina Art Association members. A portion of proceeds from the sales have been maintaining the gallery and help fund a scholarship program and tuition-free art classes for the community.The Yaquina Art Association has been committed to supporting the local artists. All of the work exhibited in the gallery are by the local artists (Lincoln County Residents). YAA also host annual juried arts shows and bi-monthly artist spotlight exhibits throughout the year.Visit with us and browse among our collection of paintings, photography, handcrafted jewelry, and glass art by local artists.
